Global manufacturers are achieving their goals and expanding their footprints in Albania.
Saint - Gobain
The French corporation opened its first factory in Albania in 2016. They manufacture and distribute construction products for the local market of Albania and Kosovo, as well as export them in the region.
Sumitomo
The Japanese firm recently started producing wiring harnesses for autos in Kamez. After initial success, they announced plans to grow to 2000 employees by 2021; with eventual plans to grow to 5000.
Forschner
The German auto supplier recently opened a new factory in Albania, its 3rd since entering the market in 2014. Forschner chose Albania for its young, low-cost workforce and its stability.
Delmon Group
The French tier 1 auto supplier found success in Elbasan. "We were very impressed by our Albanian workforce… Trainings on our rubber technics were highly successful," Delmon CEO
PSZ
The German group was the first foreign firm which established its production in the electronic field in Albania.There are currently around 250 employees with a plan to grow to 500 in the upcoming years.
Yura
The South Korean firm set up shop in 2019 to produce cables in Fier, Albania. They have already grown to over 500 employees with plans to reach 2000 by 2023.
